DIRECTIONS
From Connecticut or New York City
Take I-84 through CT, NY and into PA. In PA, take Exit 17-Hamlin/New Foundland (old Exit 5) and turn right at the stop sign (Rte 191 N). Turn right onto Rte 191/196 North (11 miles to go!) Continue straight at the red light (Hamlin Corners). At the top of hill bear left at the "Y" to Rte 196N. Rte 196 becomes Rte 296N. An eighth of a mile after an old gas station (on the left) is the driveway for Loveshaw on your right, a large red building set back from the road.
From Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport
Take I-81 North to Rte 380/I 84. Follow signs for I84 East. Take Exit 8-Mt Cobb (old Exit 4). Make a left at the exit ramp to traffic light. At the light make a right onto Rte 348 E. Less than a mile you will make a left onto Cortez Road (reference point, the Fire Station). Continue on Cortez Road towards St Tikhon''s Monastery until you come to South Canaan. At the stop sign, an old gas station will be on your right and you will make a left turn onto Rte 296 N. The entrance to Loveshaw will be about an eighth of a mile on your right. It is a large red building set back from the road
From Route 6 direction of Scranton
Follow Route 6 into Carbondale passing Ames Plaza (reference point: traffic light, Rail Road Tracks). Go straight through two stop lights (Main Street, Church Street). Leave Route 6 and continue straight up the hill (8th Avenue). 8th Avenue ends at Wayne Street, turn right at the stop sign. Continue up Wayne Street and over Salem Mountain. Follow the blacktop road past Lake Quinn to a stop sign. At the "Y" bear left toward St. Tikhon''s Monastery. At the stop sign an old gas station will be on the right. Make a left at this intersection (Route 296 N). The entrance to Loveshaw is about an eighth of a mile on the right.
From Robert A. Casey Highway
Route 6 East Follow Route 6 East to Waymart, make a right at stop light onto Route 296 South. Go six miles on Rte 296, past Red Maples Golf Course and South Canaan Township Building. Loveshaw is on the immediate left, just around the bend in road. (If you go past the old gas station, you have to turn around.)
From Lehigh Valley Airport (Allentown)
Take Rte 22 West to the Pennsylvania Turnpike Northeast Extension (I 476 North). Stay on Turnpike to Wyoming Valley Exit (Dupont/Pittston). Follow signs for I 81 North / Scranton. Stay on I 81 North to Rte 380/I 84 split and take I 84 East. Take Exit 8-Mt. Cobb (old Exit 4), make left at the exit ramp to traffic light. At the light make a right onto Rte 348 E. Take the Belt Parkway West to Verrazano-Narrows Bridge to Staten Island Expressway to Goethals Bridge to New Jersey Turnpike North.
